The ROLO health & safety awareness course allows operatives to gain the required level of competence to enter the Register of Land Based Operatives. For operatives requiring LISS / CSCS card, successful completion of the ROLO course is a pre-requisite for these cards. The course is comprised of a number of modular core subjects relevant to day to day work activities, highlighting areas of health & safety which can be used to deal with site safety issues arising in the work situation.

There are no specific entry requirements for this course, although the ability to communicate in English would be beneficial as course delivery will be in English only.

Certification is dependent on successful completion on the 35 minute multiple choice examination at the end of the course (75% minimum pass rate).
Delegates must pass the exam in order to achieve the ROLO qualification.
The scheme is administered by the British Association of Landscaping Industries (BALI).
Certificates for successful candidates will be generated and posted within two weeks.
Please note a CSCS card can still be applied for before certification arrives.
