This course teaches candidates the basics of epilepsy, including causes, symptoms, treatments, what to do if someone has a seizure and the legal position with regard to employment and driving.
Candidates will learn the different types of seizures. The course is designed for candidates who will be coming into contact with people at risk of having a seizure, candidates will learn how to act in this situation and how to treat the person. Course Content

The different types of seizure and what triggers them How epilepsy is controlled What to do if someone has a seizure The law relating to working or employing someone with epilepsy The law relating to driving with epilepsy Entry Requirements
There are no specific entry requirements for this course, although the ability to communicate in English would be beneficial as course delivery will be in English only.

Assessment: Certification is dependent on successful continuous assessment, there is no final exam. Those students who complete the course and are deemed to have reached the required standard are issued with a certificate that is valid for three years. Cost
