This course will provide candidates with an understanding of the Mental Capacity Act which includes deprivation of liberty safeguards. This course will give candidates an awareness if they work in health care and will provide them the knowledge to work with mental capacity issues and safeguarding adults.

There are no specific entry requirements for this course, although the ability to communicate in English would be beneficial as course delivery will be in English only.

Assessment: Certification is dependent on successful continuous assessment, there is no final exam. Those students who complete the course and are deemed to have reached the required standard are issued with a certificate that is valid for three years. Cost
