This course is designed to give candidates the basic knowledge of pressure ulcers and increasing awareness of them. Candidates will learn the causes of these ulcers, why they occur and who is most likely to get them. As well as how to prevent them and treat them when they do occur.

There are no specific entry requirements for this course, although the ability to communicate in English would be beneficial as course delivery will be in English only.

Assessment: Certification is dependent on successful continuous assessment, there is no final exam. Those students who complete the course and are deemed to have reached the required standard are issued with a certificate that is valid for three years.
